This well written NODA script, by Peter Denyer, provided the basis for this pleasing pantomime performance which had some innovative stage effects.
Making her entrances and exits from a Dr Who style police phone box, Lyndsey Downs delighted as Fairy Goodheart defeating the wicked intentions of Queen Morgiana, played by Jan Bason.
Laura Elizabeth Bason was a charming Prince Lorenzo, partnering Laura Hadaway as Snow White, in well sung duets, whilst Carl Cooper as Muddles, the Jester, had a fine rapport with the audience. Tony Barrow made a fine henchman as Herman – 'tis hard work henching!
Garry Walliss and Alan Peters gave fine support as Hereward and Hector, as did Ann
Rowe as the voice of the mirror, but as always the seven dwarfs, personified by a
septet of talented juniors, played out the well-
The chorus scenes were good with well drilled dance routines backed by tuneful accompaniment.
The costumes were good, as were the well lit sets and snappy scene changes.
All in all, the company can be proud of this production.
